My take is that Itachi and Sasuke end up killing each other (sob) and Naruto somehow survives the Kyuubi extraction and is left empty. Sakura ends up going back to Konoha but with the report from Kakashi that she had helped the Akatsuki she is arrested for treason but escapes becoming missing nin.
Her Akatsuki friends find out and Deidara, Tobi, and Kisame with Pein's permission track her down and make her the offer to join them. That is how I would like to see her and Deidara hook up. But there is only one problem, Itachi and Sasuke are gone. (Bursts into tears) Keep writing!
